IOM Lithuania will provide one – time payments for newly arrived Ukrainians
International organization for migration (IOM Lithuania) will provide one-time payments to war refugees from Ukraine who arrived at least four months ago. "IOM Lithuania continues to provide payments to Ukrainians. Last year, we allocated €85,000 and the assistance reached 240 war refugees who had arrived. This year, we are again inviting Ukrainians who arrived last October or later to contact our organisation and receive one-off assistance," says Eglė Staškūnaitė, Head of Migrant Assistance and Crisis Management at IOM Lithuania.
The one-time payment for newly arrived Ukrainians will amount to €221.
IOM Lithuania invites refugees from Ukraine who during the last 4 months arrived to Lithuania and for the first time receive temporary protection in the EU or abroad to apply for financial humanitarian assistance (221 EUR per person.)

Assistance will be provided if:
Time of crossing the border and registration at Migration department of Lithuania are confirmed AND
At least ONE of the specified vulnerability criteria is met:
(single parents with children under 18;
full families with 3 or more children;
expecting mothers;
elderlies 60+;
persons with disability or serious health conditions.
Eligible refugees will be invited to the meeting with IOM Lithuania for document verification and form signing.

Important! If you already received this assistance from IOM Lithuania as a new arrival in 2024, you are not eligible.
Assistance will be provided at IOM MiCenter (Vilnius) until the allocated budget is spent and upon our invitation. Refugees from other cities will be required to come to Vilnius.

"IOM Lithuania has been actively assisting and supporting Ukrainians for 2.5 years and our services are very diverse, ranging from cash benefits to language courses, psychological support, and various integration events. During this time, more than 21,000 Ukrainians have benefited from our assistance", says E. Staškūnaitė.
Since the beginning of the war, almost 93,000 Ukrainians have arrived in Lithuania.
