In 2015, in collaboration with the Lithuanian Government, IOM Lithuania established the Migration Information Center (MIC) "I Choose Lithuania" Over the years, the team has provided more than 65,000 individual consultations, assisting many Lithuanians returning to the country and foreigners arriving in Lithuania.

In response to changing migration trends, refugee flows from Ukraine, and the growing need to provide information and services to all foreigners living in Lithuania, a physical Migration Information Center was opened in Vilnius in October 2023.

Starting from January 2024, in cooperation with the Ministry of Social Security and Labour, the center's services were expanded and strengthened through funding from the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (AMIF) for the Migration Information Center – MiCenter project (project code: PMIF-2.01-V-01-01). The project will be carried out until 2025-12-31. The project's activities aim to address the challenges faced by foreigners living in Lithuania, such as the lack of relevant information in foreign languages, assistance with integrating into local communities, and promoting a positive perception of migrants among Lithuanians.

Support groups not only improve emotional health but also help migrants meet the local community and engage in integration-promoting activities.

Involving Local Community in the Integration Process

Cultural diversity training for employers is conducted to facilitate the mutual integration of migrants into the Lithuanian labor market and create an inclusive work environment.
